Our jetski training session is designed for those who already hold a valid NSW General Boat Licence. It focuses specifically on the rules, responsibilities and safety practices of operating a Personal Watercraft (PWC), a.k.a. jetski.
You’ll join one of our experienced instructors for approximately two hours of theory-based jetski training, covering all the essentials you need to know to safely and legally operate a PWC on NSW waters. Whether you’re new to PWCs or simply looking to formalise your knowledge, this jetski course is a quick and efficient way to secure your jetski licence.
Course Description
You must hold a valid Recreational General Boat Licence to participate in this course. If you do not have one, you’ll need to complete our combined Boat & Jet Ski Licence Course. You can not hold a PWC licence without a valid general boat licence.
The PWC course typically takes about 2 hours to complete. We cover the theory and go over the differences in rules and give you a chance to learn everything you need to know. You then complete the knowledge test which is made up of straight forward multiple choice questions. Upon successfully passing you will qualify for your Jet Ski/PWC licence upgrade.
Upgrading your licence is a straightforward process.
Once you’ve successfully passed the test, you can submit your paperwork at a Service NSW office.

Steps To Getting Your Licence
The start time may vary depending on whether we have a boat licence theory on the same day but is usually run at about 3pm. We cover about 2 hours of Theory before you sit your knowledge test.
Upon successfully completing the general boat safety training and passing the test, you will be eligible to apply for your licence with Service NSW.
You will receive a completed application form during the course, which you will need to present at Service NSW along with 2 colour passport photos and the appropriate licence fee.
You have your licence.

- Individual: $200 per person
- Two adults: $190 per person
- Under 18s: $185 per person
- Groups of 4-10: $175 per person

PWC Jetski Exam
- 15 multiple-choice questions.
- You must get 12 correct answers.
- If you don’t pass on the first try, you can retake the exam immediately. A second failure allows you to resit the test at a later date at any of our courses or at our office, free of charge.
- If you need additional training, you’re welcome to attend any of our theory seminars at no extra cost.
