One Day Theory and Practical Boat Licence Course

Morning tea and lunch are included.
Special dietary requirements are met on request.

This course will give you your boat licence in one day.

 

The course includes our safe boating course, practical (being at the helm of our 8.2m Kevlacat or Regal 1900) and the NSW Maritime exam.

The main components of this course include:

  • Compliance with maritime rules and regulations
  • Trip preparation and planning
  • Response to boating emergencies and incidents
  • Safety equipment operation and regulations
  • Overloading
  • Anchoring
  • Mooring and docking
  • Navigation
  • Collision regulations
  • Marine radio and much, much more

 

The practical component is driving the vessel under supervision for a minimum 15 minutes and participating in a man overboard procedure, berthing, anchoring and mooring.

 

The exam consists of 40 multiple questions and answers. Upon successful completion of the exam you will be issued with a statement of attainment, all you then need to do is present the statement to NSW maritime for the issue of your Boat Licence.

Course Regulations

You must be at least 12 years old to participate in this course.

 

We recommend you bring a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water for the practical component on the harbour.
